Asuncion Fernandez, Carlos Garcia and Benjamin Knappet visit FELMI- Graz
As part of an ongoing collaboration, the three researchers arrived to the Institute for Electron Microscopy and Nanoanalysis (FELMI) at Graz University of Technology to perform structural studies on bimetallic nanoparticles with dimer shapes. The formation mechanism of this kind of nanostructures is not well understood yet. By means of strong facilities such as Mono-TEM Tecnai F20 and ASTEM Titan3 60-300, STEM/EELS or STEM/EDX experiments performed at FELMI are improving our knowledge about the role of particular elements in the formation of dimer shapes. The hosting institution and staff are international references in the analytical techniques used.
